Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 October 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of TradeLite, the website at tradelite.in and its trading terminal (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is provided by TRADELITE FINTECH PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U66301TN2025PTC187440, GSTIN 33AAMCT5919Q1ZJ), registered office Shop No. 33, 1st Floor, Gemini Parsn Manere, New No. 442 (Old No. 602), Anna Salai, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600006, India ("TradeLite", "we", "us").
2. What TradeLite is and is not
- TradeLite is a software tool for charting, paper trading, journaling, risk controls and sending orders to your own broker account through the broker's official API.
- TradeLite is not a stock broker, not a depository participant, and does not hold your money or securities. Your broker executes your orders and holds your funds.
- TradeLite is not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or research analyst, and nothing in the Service is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. See our Risk Disclosure.
3. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract in India.
- Give accurate information and keep your password and devices secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Tell us immediately at tradeliteofficial@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
- One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
4. Connecting your broker
- You may connect trading accounts you own or are authorised to operate. You must follow your broker's terms, including any API usage rules.
- You log in on your broker's own page and approve the connection each trading day. Orders are placed only after that approval, and only on the account you have set as active.
- The broker decides whether to accept, reject, modify or cancel an order. Broker or exchange outages, rejections, margin checks, price limits and API changes are outside our control.
- You can disconnect a broker at any time from your account settings.
5. Orders, strategies and risk controls
- You are responsible for every order placed from your account, whether you place it manually or through a strategy you configure or enable, including its size, timing, and any loss.
- Strategies on TradeLite run the rules you can see and set (white-box). They do not guarantee any result. Test them in paper trading first.
- Risk controls (daily loss limit, trade caps, profit lock and similar) are a best-effort aid. Because of market gaps, slippage, latency or broker/exchange issues, actual losses can exceed the limits you set.
- Orders may be sent as limit orders, and some order types may be unavailable, to comply with exchange and broker rules for API and algorithmic orders.
- Always check your orders, positions and funds directly with your broker. Your broker's records are final.
6. Market data and content
Prices, charts, option chains, news, fundamentals and other data may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and some come from third parties. Paper-trading, replay and script backtest results are simulated and do not reflect real execution. Do not rely on the Service as your only source of information.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service for anything illegal, including market manipulation, spoofing, front-running or circumventing exchange, SEBI or broker rules;
- use another person's broker account or credentials without authorisation;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the Service, disrupt it, overload it, or scrape or resell data from it;
- copy, reverse-engineer or resell the Service except as the law allows;
- share your account or use the Service to provide paid advice or signals to others without the registrations the law requires.
8. Fees
The Service is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, their price, billing and refund terms will be shown to you before you buy, and you will not be charged without your agreement. Brokerage, taxes and exchange charges are billed by your broker, not by us.
9. Intellectual property and your scripts
The Service, its software, design and content belong to TradeLite or its licensors. Charts use TradingView Lightweight Charts under its licence. Your strategies, journal entries and settings remain yours; you give us a licence to store and process them only to provide the Service.
Scripts you write (TL Script)
TL Script is TradeLite's own language for writing chart indicators. These points apply to every script you write, paste or save in the Service:
- Your scripts are yours. You keep ownership of the scripts you write. You give us a licence to store, run and display them only to provide the Service to you. We do not publish or share your saved scripts.
- Only use what you have the right to use. Do not paste or save code, text or other material that belongs to someone else unless its owner or its licence allows it, and follow that licence, including any credit it requires. You are responsible for the scripts you save.
- We may remove scripts. We may remove or disable a script, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe it infringes someone's rights, breaks these Terms or the law, or harms the Service (for example, by overloading it).
- Complaints about a script. If you believe a script stored on TradeLite infringes your copyright or other rights, write to our Grievance Officer (section 15) with your contact details, the material concerned and why you believe it infringes. We will review it and act as the law requires.
- Not advice. Scripts, the signals they draw and any backtest or simulated results are tools you control. They are not investment advice or a recommendation from TradeLite, and past or simulated results do not guarantee future results.
- TL Script is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a product of any other charting or trading platform.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, especially during market hours, maintenance, or broker/exchange outages. We may add, change or remove features.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
- We are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, missed trades or opportunities, or for indirect or consequential loss, including losses caused by market movements, your decisions or strategies, broker or exchange actions or outages, data errors, internet failures or events beyond our reasonable control.
- Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or INR 1,000 if you paid nothing.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify TradeLite against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, or block orders, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, a regulator, an exchange or your broker, or to protect users or the Service. Where possible we will tell you why. Sections 5, 6 and 9 to 15 survive termination.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, please contact our Grievance Officer so we can try to resolve the issue. The courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India have exclusive jurisdiction.
